Why should you install a home generator? If you consistently experience power outages during storms, it is a great investment. A GenSpring Power generator kicks on almost instantly once you’re initial power source has gone out. In fact, many customers tell us they don’t even notice a power outage because our generators turn on immediately. Winter storms and their effects on power can be unpredictable, so a home generator installation can offer you peace of mind and keep you warm. Many security systems, appliances, and lighting rely on electricity, so installing a generator eliminates the frustration of those appliances losing power.
So, perhaps you’ve decided to install a home generator. But, what are the different types, and what are their differences? GenSpring Power offers two varieties: natural gas and propane. Natural gas is safe and reliable because the fuel is delivered to your home via an underground distribution system. This way, the fuel source is not affected by the storm damage that comprises your electricity. Propane is a great option when natural gas is not available. It is pulled as a vapor gas from a propane tank. You can purchase propane tanks yourself or rent from a supplier. However, one thing to be conscious of is the size of the tank you’ll need to meet your homes’ needs.
Regardless of which kind of energy source you decide to use for your generator, this is an investment you’ll thank yourself for all year-round. You won’t have to endure power outages whether it’s ice storms in the winter, thunderstorms in the spring, or heat waves in the summer.
