Many of our competitors have sold out to Private Equity (PE) firms and therefore are not independent. The PE’s business model is essentially the opposite of what GenSpring Power has built. Theirs is a short-term view, focused on the bottom line–maximizing profit through cost-cutting that will never benefit the customer at the end of the day.

Once the acquisition by the PE firm is finalized, the owner, if they stay, is now an employee. As the PE firm demands more and the culture changes, more often than not, those owners who stay lose interest. Rather than the local owner setting policy, directives are dictated by the PE. Customers and employees become frustrated with the changes. Eventually, the best employees begin to seek alternative employment, and customers seek alternative sales and service options. This process of acquiring and cutting costs continues until a sufficient mass is accumulated to be sold again.

GenSpring Power offers turnkey installation of home generator systems and energy storage solutions. Our process includes assessing your needs and designing a generator system, battery system, or combination of the two that works for you and your home. Installation includes preparing the site, setting up the generator or battery storage system, correctly interfacing it with your electric and gas service, providing the battery, and starting the generator. 

After the startup, we will address any warranty issues and provide necessary maintenance services to keep your generator system running smoothly. All aspects of the installation of your new generator system will be done in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and applicable electrical and natural/propane gas codes. We will strive to complete your generator installation as quickly as possible, and some systems are installed in as little as one day. The time required to complete your specific installation is a function of the complexity of the job and the permitting/inspection process, if necessary.
