Off-Grid Energy Solution in North Georgia

When the power company wanted $200,000 to serve this remote North Georgia cabin, the owner turned to GenSpring Power and our friend Kurt Greenwald (seasoned solar expert) for a solution. Analyzing the load and finding the optimum balance between stored battery energy and solar power, together we came up with a solid off-grid energy solution. 

GenSpring provided and installed a Sol-ark 12kW, 6 AmpliPhi batteries, and a secure SimpliPhi Boss 6 cabinet. Kurt furnished and installed 6,000 watts of solar power. We also coupled a propane powered generator to fill the gap just in case they experience an extended cloudy period. With a 10-year warranty for the Sol-ark Inverter and AmpliPhi batteries, our customer can take comfort in knowing that not only is he covered with a reliable energy solution, but also a solid warranty and GenSpring Power to back it up.

This off-grid solution marks our 10th installation incorporating only Sol-ark Inverters and SimpliPhi’s AmpliPhi 48 volt LFP batteries. Six of our installations incorporate solar with energy storage and four using our hybrid solution.
